Case Study · Spheresmith
The site that closed a seed round. Kept investment-ready ever since.
Spheresmith launched its first digital presence as an AI-powered investment platform targeting institutional investors. The site that helped close the seed round needs to be in peak condition every time the next investor lands on it.

Before NoDrama
When your audience manages institutional capital, 'mostly working' isn't a category.
Spheresmith had no digital presence before Pangolin built one. The site that went live was their first, built to institutional standards, purpose-designed for three distinct investor audiences with role-specific navigation and high-trust design.
For a platform pitching to asset owners and GPs, the site is a credibility signal. A broken page, a slow load, an outdated security certificate — any of these send a message to an audience that is professionally trained to notice when something isn't quite right.
NoDrama was in from launch. The site has been investor-ready every day since.
The honest audit
What we found when we looked.
What the NoDrama onboarding audit found on a newly launched investor-grade platform where trust signals are the product.
No staging environment.
For a site with role-specific navigation and content gating, a direct update introducing a routing error could send an LP to the wrong content section, or a blank page.
No uptime monitoring.
Institutional investors review sites at any hour, in any timezone. Passive downtime detection — waiting for a team member to notice — is not viable for this audience.
Role-based navigation not tested in production post-launch.
Three navigation flows — for asset owners, GPs, and corporate strategists — had been verified in staging but not in production. A configuration difference had introduced an undetected routing gap in one flow.
SSL certificate not monitored.
Institutional investors notice a security warning immediately. A certificate expiry on a financial platform is a trust-ending event. No advance renewal alert was configured.
Mobile rendering inconsistency on the investment methodology section.
Not visible on standard testing but appearing on larger mobile viewports above 420px — the kind of detail a careful LP might notice on an iPad.
The work
What we actually did. Specifically.
Audit + brief
Full audit with specific focus on investor navigation flows, trust signals, SSL, load time, mobile rendering, and uptime monitoring.
Uptime monitoring + staging setup
Uptime monitoring configured with 60-second alerting. Staging environment set up. SSL certificate monitoring added with 30-day advance renewal alert.
Navigation flow testing + mobile fix
All three investor navigation flows tested in production. Found and fixed the routing gap in one flow. Fixed the mobile rendering inconsistency on the investment methodology section.
Backup upgrade + restore test
Upgraded to 12-hour off-site backups with 90-day retention. Restore test completed on day 14. Confirmed working.
Weekly cycle + monthly investor flow tests
All updates staged and tested. Investor navigation flows and key trust pages included in monthly manual test. Report on the 1st.

In their words
The investors we're talking to are sophisticated. They notice when something looks off. They don't tell you. They just don't call back. NoDrama keeps the site in the condition it needs to be in every single day. I've never had to wonder whether someone had a bad experience on the site.
